The Null Device

The American-British/British-American Dictionary has a lot of details on differences between British/Commonwealth and American/International English. Interesting to note that Australian English uses a number of American terms rather than the British ones (such as 'studio apartment' instead of 'bedsit' or 'station wagon' instead of 'estate car'), though that may be a result of the document being somewhat dated (as Jim suggests), and the effects of American television may be worldwide.
