I have started using
Skipstone
(the extra-light Mozilla variant) for web browsing; it works remarkably well.
Seeing a browser window come up
instantly is quite novel.
Mind you, it still spews garbage all over stdout (or the Mozilla engine it
uses does), and still occasionally either crashes or starts spewing endless
Gtk error messages. Still, it looks like the aging and flaky Nyetscape for
Linux may soon have some serious competition.
