Looks like an urban legend may now be true. Russian entrepreneurs of above-average moral flexibility are attempting to convert surplus street children into much needed foreign currency, by producing and exporting snuff films, in which they're tortured and murdered on camera.

Many were lured away from orphanages. 'Children are not locked in,' said Mazurin. 'Anyone can come along and promise them a meal at McDonalds. It doesn't take any more than that."

What's really disturbing is that there is an international market for these videos. (via Ad Nauseam)
