When the Bad Shit Went Down in New York, a lot of people were overwhelmed by a desperate need to be close to another human being. This has manifested itself in everything from dating services doing a roaring trade to people having spontaneous sex with strangers, as if in a desperate, last-ditch life-affirming gesture. And some are saying that this phenomenon could lead to a new baby boom (as happened during World War 2). (via Techdirt)
