Weird... here it's Californian slang for vacuous blonde female (probably used in some postmodern, ironic sense).
Come to think of it, the paper description makes it sound like it's trying to be the new Fast Eddie's (a bar catering to 18-year-old suburban kids, situated next to one of Melbourne's biggest, and most commercial, nightclubs). It makes you wonder whether the "funky sounds" the DJs will be playing may perchance be all Destiny's Child all the time or something.
I s'pose we should be just a teeny-weeny bit grateful that the Punters isn't getting refitted as a Country Road outlet, or some such. Then again, do we really need another "funk-eeee" pizza-cafe-bar on Brunny Street? Hasn't that been done to the absolute death yet?
Yes. Well.
Bimbo sounds great - that will very probably be the clientele. Anyway, that's the result of gentrifaction - waht can you do about it? resisting capital is damn hard.
Sounds like a good idea. Variety is the spice of life and all that. Something for very body, can't wait. Good work Henry.

Bimbo? That's portuguese slang for northern people (like myself) who are FC Porto supporters, and also extends to people who wear moustaches and use hairgel (which I thankfully don't).
