Clearing things up: George Lucas has stated that Jedi knights are not celibate, and may have active sex lives. Note that this only applies to the Jedi knights in the films, and not the self-styled variety you see on the net.

There was a little guy walking around Adelaide a couple of days ago. Must have been a couple of years older than me. He had a full Jedi costume on (sort of rough looking dark green / black robe kind of gear) and a really pathetic pink plastic light sabre. And he looked deadly serious. This must have been a full 12 hours before any screening of the movie was due to start.
