High Precision Bucket Man

Everybody's getting CDs out these days; even the guy who plays drums on plastic buckets in the Melbourne CBD. Known to friends as Victor Lancaster, the high-precision bucket man now has a CD, titled Mr. Mention, of him playing buckets on the streets and in venues. It's not bad either; it has a number of remixes or tracks built up over his beats, ranging from hip-hop instrumentals to experimental glitch electronica to funky grooves using elements such as car horns and meowing cats in creative ways. It's available now from Victor himself, whom you'll find on the streets of Melbourne, and he only has a few left so you'd better hurry.

i hate the talentless clod. every time i see him i think of the opening scene of ... green card? with the busking afro-american kid beating a brisk tattoo out on a plastic barrel - a thousand times more worthy of my shiny penny. so what if he's been remixed, yello started out thumping the side of a fridge - the fridge has more artistic merit at this point. i will pay good money to see the blind busking female piano accordion player bernadette throw him under a tram at the corner of collins and swanston. huzzah.

I haven't seen that bagpiper on the FLinders St steps for ages. Did the council have him knocked off I wonder?

acb: the bagpipe player did, that's why the streetkiddies ran off with his box that time ... i say again, bernadette > tubthumper. how much was the CD? when's the dj shadow (/aphex twin/annoying london rapper/feargal sharkey) remix coming out?

Cool. Is he using the wheelchair these days, or standing on his own 2 good legs?

If this really is the guy who used to be in Sydney, grab one and I'll send you some cash - when I get some - because I've not heard him for years...
