Rupert Murdoch has hinted that his papers may switch allegiances to the Tories in the next UK general election. If they do so, it will be an interesting test of exactly how much influence the Sun has over who forms the government.

If I recall correctly, the '92 election (The one with the 'It's the Sun wot won it' headline) was analysed by some academics and they reckoned Sun support was worth 6-8% in marginal constituencies... mail me (my name at my URL) if you want me to dig out the details...)
