The women were passing messages saying "Please come and kill me, because of what's happened". Basically what happened is that those women who were arrested with young boys/children in cases that have been recorded. The boys were sodomized with the cameras rolling. The worst about all of them is the soundtrack of the boys shrieking that your government has. They are in total terror it's going to come out.
And here is salon.com's take on this.
So when exactly is it morally acceptable to rape children for a greater good?

Terrorists or common robbers (like the "Statue of Liberty" guy)? The story merely listed them as "prisoners".

Who would it serve to spread this type of disinformation? Perhaps a CIA initiated coup... I think it's important to remember though, that for all the hype about 'liberating' the Iraqi people, the current crop of stooges in the interim government and in high-ranking military positions were by and large Saddam's stooges a little more than a year ago. Same shit, different bucket...

Uh, hello? The new head of intelligence, Shehwani, had all his sons executed by Saddam in 1996 after a CIA-backed coup failed. Allawi was also involved in the opposition that long ago, and he was almost axe-murdered during his exile in London. Nor have I heard of any Saddam-era Baathists getting ministries in the new government, although I just don't know the details there. The one official who I do know, deputy foreign minister Hamid Bayati, comes from SCIRI, the Iranian-backed Iraqi Islamists.

If such incidents did happen, the fact that they happened in a US-controlled prison (even if the rapists were Iraqis) puts the blame on the US forces. The documentation showing that Rumsfeld approved of the use of torture is also somewhat damning. AFAIK, there is no proof that Rumsfeld or Cheney ordered or signed off on the rape of children, but the ends-justify-the-means mentality that has been documented in the Whitehouse is disturbingly compatible with them doing so.

Rape is said to have been a tool of Saddam Hussein's torturers. And these "unreleased images" show "Iraqi guards apparently videotaped by U.S. soldiers raping young boys" (Pentagon correspondent Jim Miklaszewski). Note: "apparently videotaped by U.S. soldiers". That part appears to be pure supposition. As with the recent story that the new Iraqi PM personally executed half a dozen terrorists just before taking office, there is every chance that this is plain old disinformation, in the service of psychological warfare.
