The best of a bad situation

It looks like the Tories are set to get a Senate majority in their own right. I'm actually relieved by this, as it puts Family First out of the party-room calculations. (Do you trust Howard to be sufficiently committed to pluralism and liberalism to not give FF a Chinese-style national internet firewall or something similarly odious and repressive in return for putting aside their concerns that abolishing unfair-dismissal laws may harm families? Me neither.)
