Google Maps' long-awaited expansion into Europe may be coming; the mapping service has just added maps of
a patch of north-western Italy, which joins North America, the UK and Japan in the mapped world. The map cuts off on a suspiciously vertical line just east of Alessandria, though; perhaps the rest of Italy will show up in the next day or so?
I think NW Italy was added just for the Torino Winter Olympics.
