Trademark troll's career implodes

Leo Stoller, self-styled "intellectual property entrepreneur", revolutionised the monetisation of trademarks a few years ago. He did this by registering a large number of words, including "Stealth", "Sentra", and (perhaps appropriately) "Chutzpah", as trademarks and then aggressively going after anyone in any field using them, often extracting substantial settlements. Unfortunately for him, the bonanza came to an end when defendants began fighting back and losing lawsuits, and judges started invalidating his patents. Even worse for him, when he tried to declare bankruptcy, a judge ordered the liquidation of all his assets, and found that his personal and corporate assets were one and the same. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy...

The Leo Stoller Truth Serum Blog is dedicated to exposing the REAL Leo Stoller, who is not an attorney and whose judicial abuse and ethical misconduct is a matter of public record. The courts are on record as stating that Leo Stoller's "lack of credibility is a matter of public record" and that he "harasses legitimate actors for the purpose of extracting a settlement amount."

Nah, it has never been about the money for the Leo Stoller Truth Serum Blog. The Truth Serum doesn't get a dime out of this, nor would it accept two nickels.

This is about exposing a guy who attempts to make a living through smear tactics, outright lies, and hamhanded attempts at legal extortion.

If there is any money to be had, it should go to all those good people who have worked so hard to ensure that someone like Leo Stoller is not allowed to profit by attempting to drag people through his lair, meaning the gutter from which he operates.

If anything, the Truth Serum derives the simple pleasure of knowing that Leo Stoller's life will turn out to be the culmination of everything he has done. And the Truth Serum will bask in this pleasure while enjoying all this wonderful world has to offer, while Leo Stoller continues to wallow in his own hatred and vitriolic musings.

Being alive and being free-- it doesn't get much better than that. Peace out.

On February 11, 2010, the Illinois Appellate Court (First District) granted an order taking judicial notice that Leo Stoller had been deceptive.

The Illinois Appellate Court, on its own motion, also ordered that Leo Stoller show cause as to why he should not be held in Contempt of Court regarding sixteen appeals. The Court also ordered Leo Stoller to show cause as to why those appeals should not be dismissed.

The Illinois Appellate Court entered the orders in view of an earlier order entered by the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. In that order, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals held that Leo Stoller had been deceptive and referred the matter to the U.S. Attorney to determine whether Leo Stoller should be prosecuted for perjury.

LEO STOLLER'S APPEALS DISMISSED EN MASSE

On March 15, 2010, the Appellate Court of Illinois (First Judicial District) entered an order dismissing several appeals filed by Leo Stoller. The matter came before the court on the court's own rule to show cause why Leo Stoller should not be held in contempt and the appeals dismissed. In this order, the Appellate Court of Illinois (First Judicial District) noted that it had taken judicial notice of an order entered by the Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in the matter of In re Leo D. Stoller, No. 08-4240 (7th Cir., Dec. 4. 2009). In that order, the Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit found that Leo Stoller had been deceptive and referred the matter to the U.S. Attorney for determination of whether Stoller should be prosecuted for perjury.
