Wired has a guide on how to turn anything into a screenplay, which is to say, into a screenplay marketable to Hollywood:

1. Create a protagonist
2. Establish what the protagonist wants
3. Be sure to have an antagonist.
4. Decide what the antagonist wants
5. You need a conflict to drive the plot
6. Don't forget a beginning, a middle, and an end
