Another place to find RANDOMLY capitalized WORDS, by the way, is the
voter's pamphlet -- at least here in the States. These things are
published by the Registrar of Voters or other local election authority
and contain, along with the text of the ballot measures, budget
analyst's reports, and so forth, arguments pro and con.
Even as a little kid looking through my parent's election pamphlets I
noticed that the ones with LOTS of ALL CAPS words IN THEM seemed to be
the wackiest or farthest out on the right wing.
Has anyone ever done a serious study of this phenomenon?
