A good book to check out is _The Paranoid Style in American Politics_ by
Richard Hofstadter. It's absolutely fascinating to see how the enemy has
*always* been around. And for the religious side of it, try _Naming the
Antichrist: The History of an American Obsession_ by Robert Fuller. For
something a little further back in history, read _Pursuit of the
Millenium_ by Norman Cohn. These aren't really about the mental illness
of paranoia, but still fascinating in their own right.
I am now blessing your library card...

You always use violence. I should've ordered glutinous rice chicken.
