psychoceramics: Sighting: REPUBLIC IS A MASONIC PLOT

Today, at about 4pm, I was walking through Bourke St. (a paved
pedestrian area in the centre of Melbourne), where I saw a man holding a
sign reading on one side "REPUBLIC IS A MASONIC PLOT", and on the other
"DARK BROTHERHOOD: THE MEDIA DOES NOT DISCUSS MASONRY DEATH CULT".
There was a number of sheets of cardboard with neatly hand-lettered
factoids, conjectures and slogans, as well as newspaper clippings,
photographs and cartoon drawings of pirates and witches.  The signs were
lettered neatly in black felt-tip marker (with some letters
strategically highlighted in red);  symbols such as Masonic compasses,
stars of David, eye-in-pyramid symbols, swastikas and pink triangles were 
interspersed amongst the text.

He also had a street map of Melbourne, photocopied from a street
directory, on which he proceeded to demonstrate the Masonic sinificance
of the Melbourne street layout (near a Masonic lodge there is a Smith
St. (Smith == Smithe == Smite), which goes to a Jessie St. (some sort of
biblical reference), and then more streets with connections to the Grail
legend, William Wallace and the "Masonic novel" Ivanhoe.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a camera with me, but I did manage to note
down some of the text of the signs:

  TV Symbolism and Funny Business  (eye in pyramid)

  The Doug Anthony All Stars was not an attempt at comedy 
  but a demonstration of who is in control & the total lack
  of awareness of both politician & voter.  _Gilligans'Is._ 
  Money & science useless.  Ginger is the key.  _Gomer Pyle_

  families comfortable with darkness.

                             swastika in middle ring)
  
  The esoteric name of Hiram Abiff is Adonis.  That cat 
  burgular named Molay in Grand Par Simpsoms' nursing home
  looked rather a saint                      swank.

  Brooks Hall [skull/crossbones glyph]

  On T.V. everyone called the M.C.G. the G [letter G is in Masonic 
  square/compass symbol]  Sport must now be our pagan religion.
  R._Oak_leigh A.F.L. head.  May poles at the start of the Grand 
  Final.D.Pagans side wins.

  "Should the guy who crashed his car through the casino doors
  be an adviser?"

  Lee is a positive name as is the first part of Levi [star 
  of David] but just analyse anyone who has been on the world
  stage called Lee.

Again, these are just dissociated fragments, and not the entirety of this
guy's conspiratological thesis.  If he's around tomorrow, I intend to
photograph the signs in question.

 comedy troupe.  Dallas Brooks Hall is an auditorium and Masonic lodge.
 M.C.G. == Melbourne Cricket Ground. A.F.L. == Australian Football 
 League.  Ramsay St. == setting of local soap opera Neighbors, known 
 for its recurring teenage romance plotlines)
