Actually, chances are more American servicepersons have been killed than the US media are letting on. (From what I've noticed here in Australia, US media coverage is notoriously partisan and leaves out anything uncomfortable.)
My comment, however, was about the nature of the coverage (at Ananova, a rather tabloidish British rag), in which the killing of The Enemy's women and children was mentioned as if our team had just kicked a goal in a football match or somesuch.
Anyway, the best coverage I've seen in any reputable media organisation has been in The Guardian (http://www.guardian.co.uk )
That'll learn 'em!
"the down side is that 2 Americans have been killed" ??!!
Um, what was the UPside again?
Unfortunately the down side is that 2 Americans have been killed and 20 wounded by bombs from their own planes...more "friendly fire".
