I just downloaded and compiled
Sodipodi, after seeing a link
to it from a Slashdot forum on SVG. It looks like a fairly promising
vector graphic editor for Linux; and about time too. (KDE's Kontour is
slow and bug-ridden, the new KDE Karbon requires KDE 3 which doesn't play well
with Debian yet, so I haven't had a chance to try it.)
It's still a bit rough (it prints lots of diagnostic messages on stdout, and
lacks a few things, such as a "select all" option), but it's looking quite
promising.
