Alt.society.neutopia has been described as both soap opera and
like looking at an accident scene - you don't feel right about it,
but you do it anyway.
Right now, it's pure soap opera. Consider:
(1) Libby "Neutopia" Hubbard tells all about her nights with
Richard Stallman - the dirt on his keyboard, his telling
her she tasted like broccoli, his talking to a married woman
on the phone while they were in bed, and that they never
actually had sex.
(2) Stallman responds that he was sorry things didn't work out,
the married woman is just a friend, his keyboard is dirty,
and he only said Libby's mouth tasted like broccoli, not all
of her.
And now for that perfect soap opera touch:
(3) The married woman's husband posts to a.s.n. to let the world
know that he is well aware of his wife's relationship with
Stallman, that it's completely platonic and fine with him.
Tune in tomorrow to "As the Arcology Turns", when we'll hear
Libby say, "But Richard, you must get closer to the Goddess
to actuate your genius. And why are you so obsessed with split ends?"
