The Intellectual Status Quo and Religion
There's some sort of theory about religion, psychology,
language and reality here, but I can't quite figure it out.
I think the gist is that mainstream intellectuals are all
upholding intellectual doctrines which cause us to value
artificial expert-approved intellectual constructs more
than the evidence of our own senses, and that they are
thereby keeping us in a dumbed-down state, where we are
easy prey for the media manipulations of the power elite.
If I had to categorize this essay psychoceramically, I'd
say it's an example of Plodding Fanaticism, with a good
leavening of Genuine Unpleasant Truth. :)
