Today, in the car park of Monash University, I found some
flyers from a group calling itself the Citizens Electoral Council
of Australia. These flyers had the title, "World monetary system
unravels; LaRouche: "More to come!"". The flyer claims that the
global financial system is falling apart, as predicted by "US physical
economist" Lyndon LaRouche, and that the solution is to go to a
"new Bretton Woods" system based on "national banking for
agro-industrial growth" (which sounds like a sort of nostalgic Keynesian
quasi-socialism). LaRouche's Anglophobia comes through: "it is
imperative that Australia's political leaders once again break with
Britain and its London-centred [sic] IMF "globalist" system, and ally
with America and China for a "New Bretton Woods" system, and support
President Clinton in whatever emergency measures are necessary".
The flyer contains a URL of the Citizens Electoral Council's web site:
http://www.cecaust.mel.net/ This site contains the flyer text, as well
as various other LaRoucheite items, including a page claiming that
Princess Diana was murdered by MI6, and a page blaming the Rothschilds
and (you guessed it) Britain for pushing for drug legalisation.
