I took a quick peek at the FTF web site and scanned a couple of the
stories. Two items of note.
First, the doctor that Robert Naeslund refers to at University of
California, San Diego, P. A. Lindstrom, MD., is not to be found in
my campus phone directory. Of course, the "letter" is over 10 years
old and Lindstrom may have retired or moved on to another position
in the interim.
Second, the name Paul Krassner of The Realist appears as one of the
committee "members." The Realist is well known for its counterculture
pranks (including a famous story about Lyndon Johnson performing
necrophiliac sex with JFK's exit wound aboard Air Force One on the
way back from Dallas) and Krassner is a highly skilled media prankster,
being one of the original Yippies, if memory serves.
Of course, after reading the recently published history of the CIA
by Evan Thomas, _All The Best Men_, nothing that came out of spookland
would surprise me. The CIA is capable of any amount of stupidity.
