A lot of people are pretty serious about goldfish.  The "Pledge" might
be trifle over the top (though considering the crappy treatment many
goldfish get, maybe not) but the rest of the material that I saw on
the pages looked like pretty standard stuff -- not all that different
than the material you'd see on the goldfish mailing list (to
subscribe, send email to

	goldfish-d-r--@f--.cs.umass.edu

with the word "subscribe" in the body of the message).  People on the
list semi-laughingly say they're victims of OGD ("Obsessive Goldfish
Disorder").

After a lousy day, I often get a significant spiritual lift just from
feeding our fish and seeing them come wiggling to the top of the tank
to chow down.
